Porsche has introduced the new 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition.
Billed as the first of four Heritage Design models, the 911 Targa 4S is designed to recall the 1950s and 1960s through classic design elements which have been “reinterpreted and combined with the latest technology.”
On the outside, the model offers an exclusive Cherry Metallic exterior which contrasts with golden logos. The car also features retro-inspired white accents and a special Porsche Heritage badge on the rear air vent.

The old school styling don’t end there as the model has a 1963 Porsche crest on the front bumper, steering wheel, head rests and key fob. The classic logo can also be found on the 20- and 21-inch Carrera Exclusive Design wheels which are backed up by black painted calipers.
Moving into the cabin, drivers will find a two-tone interior with corduroy on seats and door panels. Porsche says this is reminiscent of the 356 and revives the “zeitgeist and fashion of the 1950s.”
Elsewhere, there’s a leather and microfiber roofliner as well as an individually numbered plaque. The model also sports a tachometer and stopwatch with green illumination.
Since the special edition is based on the 911 Targa 4S, it features a twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 443 hp (330 kW / 450 PS) and 390 lb-ft (528 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission which enables the all-wheel drive sports car to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.4 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 188 mph (302 km/h). To appease the purists, the car can also be equipped with a seven-speed manual.
The special edition was created by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and production will be limited to 992 units worldwide. In the United States, the model will arrive at dealerships late this year and cost $180,600 before a $1,350 delivery, processing and handling fee.
If owning a limited edition 911 isn’t special enough, buyers can also purchase a 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition chronograph. Available exclusively to owners of the car, the $14,000 watch has a minimalist design with a phosphorus green ring, white hands and a strap made from same leather as the 911’s interior.
