While the current Ford F-150 Raptor is a formidable off-road weapon, it does lack one key thing: a V8 engine. Fortunately, Hennessey Performance has taken care of that.
The tuner’s VelociRaptor upgrade package for the F-150 is absolutely perfect for anyone who wants a truck with overt looks and the type of performance you can only find in the aftermarket.
This particular beast uses Ford’s 5.0-liter crate V8 engine that has been paired with a 2.9-liter supercharger with 7 psi of boost. Hennessey has also upgraded the intercooler, induction system, fuel injection and exhaust to make the most of the new engine, allowing it to pump out 758 hp. That results in some seriously impressive performance, as the truck can rocket to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.1 seconds and run down the quarter-mile in 12.2 seconds at 115 mph (185 km/h).

A plethora of other modifications complement the new engine. For example, the VelociRaptor 2.0 featured in the video below sports modified front and rear bumpers, 20-inch alloy wheels with 37-inch BFGoodrich tires and a massive LED light bar on the roof.
This fall, the latest-generation Ford F-150 will premiere and while the new Raptor likely won’t arrive for quite some time, the new model is expected to retain Ford’s 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine pumping out 450 hp and 510 lb-ft (691 Nm). Consequently, if you’re looking for a Raptor with more performance, tuners like Hennessey are the place to go.
