We have great news for those of you looking for a real reason to reactivate your Amazon Prime Video subscription.

The second feature length special of The Grand Tour’s fourth season, or the Madagascar special as it is better known, is now finished. During a charity livestream supporting the Felix Project, Jeremy Clarkson revealed that the long-awaited episode is ready.

Does that mean it’s coming on, then? Well, it all depends on Amazon now. In the video, Clarkson revealed that the e-commerce giant’s streaming service will decide when the video will be available for viewing.

”If you want to know when the next Grand Tour is out, please don’t ask us, we don’t know,” Clarkson said. “Amazon Prime know, they have it, it’s finished, it’s done, it’s filmed, it’s edited, it’s graded, it’s ready to go. It’s up to them when they put it out.” he added. This means it shouldn’t be long before we see Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond do what they do best: messing about while driving cool cars in stunning locations around the world.

There’s a lot of anticipation for the Madagascar special, which will mark the trio’s return to cars after the Seamen special which featured Clarkson, Hammond and May sailing boats on the Mekong river from Vietnam to Cambodia. In the upcoming Madagascar special, the presenters will drive around the African island nation in three modified cars, which will include a Bentley Continental GT, a Ford Focus and a Caterham – all tweaked for off-road use.

Jeremy Clarkson seemed as eager to see the show online as we are. “We are looking forward to seeing it as much as you are; it was bloody good fun to make in Madagascar which is a hell of a place and we think we made one hell of a story,” Jezza said.
