It didn’t take long for tuning companies to start modifying the Chevrolet C8 Corvette and a company by the name of Extreme Turbo Systems has created what could very well be the most powerful C8 out there.
In an effort to give the sports car’s 6.2-liter V8 some added grunt, the tuner has strapped on a pair of turbochargers that are currently running at 7.5 psi. In addition, Extreme Turbo Systems has installed intercoolers, a high-flow intake and a custom exhaust system, while also tweaking the car’s ECU and installing a methanol injection system.

As standard, the V8 of the C8 Corvette is good for 495 hp at the crank. While recently putting this example through its paces on the dyno, the tuner returned best figures of 736 hp and 669 lb-ft (907 Nm) at the rear wheels, meaning the engine itself is likely churning out roughly 800 hp, if not a little more.
Extreme Turbo Systems has built some of the quickest Nissan GT-Rs on the planet, so they know a thing or two about adding boost to a car and taking its performance to an all-new level. As of yet, the tuning shop isn’t selling any modifications for the C8 Corvette to the public, but may do so in the future.
It shouldn’t be long before other tuning shops start selling twin-turbo packages for the Corvette to customers. Hennessey Performance, for example, continues to perfect its twin-turbo upgrade package for the C8 before bringing it to production.
