It took Bugatti four months to finally bring the Chiron Pur Sport to Switzerland, as the French hypercar was supposed to be presented at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show in early March.
However, the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic forced the show (and many others as well) to be cancelled, so the Volkswagen-owned exotic car brand used the world wide web to unveil the most agile version of the Chiron.

Part of an exclusive European tour that started at the end of May in Paris and included other cities, the Chiron Pur Sport recently arrived in Zurich. Displayed in the official showroom, which was opened by Schmohl AG in 2005, it has already greeted its potential clients, mesmerizing them with the head-turning looks and jaw-dropping performance.
“The latest derivative ‘Pur Sport’ shows the Bugatti Chiron as an extreme hyper sports car”, said Christoph Haas, a member of the Schmohl AG’s board of management. “Distinctive design elements, like the fixed rear wing and wider air inlets, clearly differentiate the ‘Pur Sport’ from the Chiron and the Chiron Sport. An exciting extension to the Bugatti spectrum of performance.”
Featuring optimized aerodynamics, shorter gear ratios, a stiffer chassis, lightweight improvements and special wheels wrapped in 285/30 R20 front and 355/25 R21 Bugatti Sport Cup 2 R tires, the Chiron Pur Sport retains the brand’s signature 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16. It still pumps out 1,479 HP (1,500 PS / 1,103 kW), yet it can now be revved up to 6,900 rpm instead of 6,700 rpm in the “regular” Chiron.
Production of the hypercar is limited to 60 units and will start in the second half of 2020, with pricing starting at €3 million ($3.4 million) excluding tax.
