If you want to drive around in an SUV that makes you feel like a mob boss, the 2021 BMW X7 Dark Shadow Edition may be the vehicle for you.
Capped at “about” 500 units worldwide, of which just 75 units will stay in the United States, the X7 Dark Shadow Edition comes exclusively in a shade of Frozen Arctic Grey metallic. While this paint has been used on other BMW models, this is the first time it has been featured on an X model.
Complementing the Frozen Arctic Grey metallic paint is a BMW Individual High Gloss Shadow Line that sees the side window surrounds, B- and C-pillars, exterior mirror bases, kidney grille, and tailpipes covers all finished in gloss black.

All X7 Dark Shadow Edition models to leave the company’s plant in Spartanburg come standard with 22-inch M light-alloy wheels with a V-spoke design and a Jet Black matte finish. An M sports exhaust system is also a standard feature.
BMW will sell the limited-edition model in six- or seven-seat configurations. Regardless of how many seats buyers choose to have, the SUV receives an M leather steering wheel, BMW Individual Merino full leather upholstery with Night Blue/Black contrasting seams, and BMW Individual roofline finished in Night Blue with an Alcantara finish.
Meanwhile, the upper part of the instrument panel and armrests are finished in Night Blue nappa leather. Black merino leather is also used for other parts of the cabin, with aluminum inlays and piano black surfaces also part of the package. All 2021 BMW X7 Dark Shadow Edition models are based on the M50i variant meaning they feature a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 523 hp and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. U.S. pricing starts at $120,490 including a $1,000 deposit.
