This was bound to happen ever since Dodge came out with an updated Durango earlier this month. The latter is now available as an SRT Hellcat variant, which then naturally got turned into a pickup truck using computer editing software.
We should just come out and say it: this truck proposal doesn’t make much sense from a practical standpoint, and doesn’t appear to be particularly good-looking either.
Who’s going to purchase an insanely (straight-line) fast two-door unibody pickup truck in this day and age anyway? We could see it being an option if it were a tough body-on-frame construction, but not so much a crossover-based model.

Then there’s the styling. This render by X-Tomi Design is perhaps too straight-forward. If this truck was real, its rear end would undoubtedly look more muscular, in order to give it an aggressive stance. But here, it just looks generic and dare we say, boring. It’s an interesting concept, sure, but it’s not something Dodge would boast about.
What would they boast about, you ask? How about what’s underneath the hood of the real Durango SRT Hellcat SUV. Its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine is good for 710 HP (529 kW / 720 PS) and 645 lb-ft (874 Nm) of torque, with all that muscle going to all four corners via an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
This means that you’ll be able to rocket from zero to 60 mph (96 km/h) in a blistering 3.5 seconds, before maxing out at 180 mph (290 km/h).
