Check out the updated 2021 Lynk & Co 01 crossover, only hours after we showed you a mildly camouflaged prototype trying to hide certain changes to the front and rear fascias.
This leak courtesy of Chinese outlet DY pretty much makes that scoop redundant, as we can now see the final product from all relevant angles, with the exception of its interior. In any case, let’s run through all the changes.
Just as we suspected after seeing the prototype from earlier, the updated 2021 Lynk & Co 01 does indeed feature a more angular, sporty-looking front bumper. However, also new is the front grille, which is now less rectangular (think 05 and 06) and features a different pattern.

Other visual novelties include new wheel options and what appear to be available colorful inserts integrated underneath the grille lip and also across the window line. As for the rear, the taillights are the same as before, yet the bumper is new and more appealing.
The new model is also a tiny bit larger than its predecessor, measuring an extra 37 mm (1.45 inches) in length and 3 mm (0.12 inches) in width.
In China, the 2021 Lynk & Co 01 will be available with three 2.0-liter power units, producing 140 kW (188 HP / 190 PS), 160 kW (214 HP / 217 PS) and now 187 kW (250 HP / 254 PS) too. The latter is a turbocharged Volvo engine and can also be found on the Lynk & Co 05 and the Geely Xingyue. For Europe, we expect only hybrid and plug-in hybrid options.
According to Geely, the updated Lynk & Co 01 will go on sale in Europe before the end of this year, but at this point that remains to be seen, especially since production will no longer take place in Belgium, but exclusively in China.
