The introduction of the Skyactiv-G 2.5T turbocharged engine is the Mazda3’s main update for the 2021 model year but not the only one.
Besides the new 250 HP range-topping powertrain, Mazda has announced several updates for its compact hatchback and sedan in the United States, highlighted by another new engine. Kicking off the range is a Skyactiv-G 2.0-liter naturally aspirated gasoline unit rated at 155 HP and 150 lb-ft (203 Nm) of torque.
Offered exclusively on the 2021 Mazda3 sedan, this engine comes with front-wheel drive and standard G-Vectoring Control Plus.
