The Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo has started shaping up to become a more practical alternative to the Tesla Model S.
Following in the footsteps of the regular Taycan, the estate variant was spied once again, this time with fake headlight trim and missing LED DRLs in the front bumper, whereas the shape of the taillights continues to be hidden by the OTT camo.

The prototype photographed testing on the streets of Germany has a few novelties compared to others that we’ve seen in the past, such as the roof rails, plastic cladding on the wheel arches, and a sleek set of alloy wheels, with a five double-spoke pattern. It’s also worth noting that Porsche retains the fake window trim that masks the sloping roofline, though the pattern follows the contour of the roof more than before.
As with most of the exterior, the design of the cabin will echo that of the four-door Taycan. As a result, one should expect the same high-end materials applied to most touchable surfaces, as well as a selection of technology gear, including the standard 10.9-inch infotainment system and optional passenger screen.
The powertrains will carry over from the regular Taycan and should feature most (if not all) configurations, including the top-spec Turbo S, which will unleash a memorable 750 HP (761 PS / 560 kW) and 774 lb-ft (1,050 Nm) of torque, enabling a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration of around 3.0 seconds. Even the base model will get 523 HP (530 PS / 390 kW), while the mid-range will boast 563 HP (571 PS / 420 kW).
If nothing interferes with the German car firm’s plans, then the Taycan Cross Turismo should be presented in a few months and will likely go on sale before the end of 2020.
