Audi will preview another electric crossover with the new Q4 Sportback E-Tron Concept, which will premiere on July 7, at 1:15 p.m. EST (7:15 p.m. CEST).

Set to join the likes of the regular Q4 E-Tron, it’s a more stylish variant with a sloping roofline aimed at those who favor looks over practicality. The teaser video that accompanies the announcement previews the show car, which features a front end similar to last year’s Q4 E-Tron Concept, albeit with a reshaped grille, bigger side air intakes in the front bumper and tweaked headlights.

The back end is not visible yet, but we expect it to feature a pair of slim LED taillights, joined together by a thin light strip. The rear bumper should look different too, and a few changes are expected to be made inside. Min you, the overall looks of the cockpit will likely carry over, as this is, after all, the ‘coupe’ version of the regular Q4 E-Tron.

Audi hasn’t said anything about the production model, though we should expect it to follow the Q4 E-Tron. Since production of the latter is understood to commence before the end of the year, the Sportback variant will perhaps launch in 2021.

The technical specifications are unknown, though it will be based on the MEB platform, which is the foundation stone of the Volkswagen ID.3 and ID.4, Skoda Enyaq and Q4 E-Tron.

We will remind you that the Q4 E-Tron Concept came with dual electric motors that developed a total system output of 302 HP (306 PS / 225 kW), backed up by an 82 kWh battery, for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) of 6.3 seconds and a 112 mph (180 km/h) electronically limited top speed.
