If you’re in the market for a cheap Ferrari and don’t mind a little water damage, you might want to head to London.
Earlier this week, a water main broke and flooded the A406 with approximately 1.6 feet (0.5 meters) of water.
While that doesn’t sound like much, a number of cars got stuck including a red Ferrari FF. Unsurprisingly, this attracted a lot of attention and a number of people unloaded pictures and videos to Twitter.

While the FF was the most expensive car to get trapped in the flood, it wasn’t the only pricey model to get a bath. Among the other victims was a BMW 7-Series and what appears to be a Mercedes C-Class.
The BBC says the London Fire Brigade dispatched four fire engines and approximately 25 firefighters to the scene. Eight drivers were rescued and effort took nearly two hours.

The eastbound lanes reopened hours later, but westbound lanes will remain closed. Speaking with the Kilburn Times, a Thames Water spokesperson said “Our engineers have begun work to repair a 24-inch diameter pipe on the North Circular following a burst on Monday.” They added it will “remain shut for some time as we carry out repairs.”
While this will undoubtedly cause some traffic headaches, at least there won’t be any more flooded Ferraris.
