With less then a week before everyone can officially start playing Codemasters’ latest installment in their F1 series, reviews for the upcoming F1 2020 has started making the rounds.
This particular one is from IGN, easily the largest video game news/review platform out there. So what’s their take on F1 2020? You’ll need to watch the whole video in order to find out, but the gist of it is this: it’s the most fun and complex F1 game ever made.
While this review was carried out on the Xbox One X, you can play F1 2020 on all major consoles and of course, on a PC.

The reviewer also credited F1 2020 for being “simultaneously the deepest yet most accessible Codemasters Formula One experience to date.”
The reason why he found it so accessible is because of its Casual racing style mode, which makes off-track surfaces easier to drive over, simplifies options and assist menus, makes available steering and Reset to Track assists and sets the AI Driver level to 50 or lower.
Naturally, the big news here remains the game’s new ‘My Team’ mode, which allows you to play as a driver/team owner and build your outfit from scratch. This means designing a custom livery, signing engine suppliers and a second driver, which you can later invest in so that he can help your team score as many points as possible.
F1 2020 is scheduled to come out this Friday, July 10, on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox One X, PC and Google Stadia. Pricing starts at $59,99 for the normal version, while the Michael Schumacher Deluxe Edition will set you back $69,99.
