Certain Ford and Lincoln vehicles have been included in three new recall campaigns conducted across North America.
Select 2021 F-650 and F-750 trucks powered by the 7.3-liter V8 engine, built at Ohio from March 18 to June 8, 2020, are included in the first recall as they may be missing components such as the underbody heat shield and/or covers for the seat bolts and pedestal.
Without these, the cabin floor and seat attachments could reach elevated temperatures under certain conditions, such as high-load driving, and direct contact with the skin could lead to irritation or small burns. Ford is unaware of accidents or injuries related to this condition that affects 1,299 vehicles in the United States and 31 in Canada.

The second recall is the biggest of the three, as it includes 19,299 2016-2020 Lincoln MKX and Nautilus crossovers in the U.S. and federalized territories, 4,262 in Canada and 1,023 in Mexico. The affected vehicles were built at Oakville between November 11, 2014, and January 24, 2020, and may have insufficient clearance between the front seat wiring harness and cushion pan, which could cause wiring harness abrasion. In turn, this could affect the airbag system, causing it not to perform as intended, increasing the risk of an injury. Again, the Dearborn automaker is not aware of reports of accidents or injuries related to this problem.
Finally, a mere 68 units of the 2020 Escape and Transit in the States and 12 in Canada are part of the third recall, as their curtain airbags might not inflate properly during deployment. This would increase the risk of injury, so technicians will replace the modules. It goes without saying that, in all cases, all work will be carried out free of charge.
