A bright green Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder has been craned onto a truck and driven away after parking in a spot dedicated to electric vehicles in Frankfurt, Germany.
This image was shared on Twitter by the Frankfurt police department and quickly garnered quite a lot of attention.
The photo reveals that a black Tesla Model S was parked just ahead of the Lamborghini and plugged into a charging outlet just to the side of the parking space. We can also see that the police officer that attended the scene did so on an electric bicycle.
#Falschparker jetzt in trockenen Tüchern.

This is not the first time we’ve seen an ICE vehicle get lifted away from an EV-only parking space in Germany. In November 2019, a Ford F-150 Raptor was spotted parked across two EV parking spaces in Berlin, Germany before police arrived on the scene and had the vehicle lifted onto a flatbed and driven away. In that case, the F-150 is thought to have been impounded and that probably also happened in this case, meaning the owner of the Lamborghini will likely have to cough up a fine to retrieve it.
It is unclear whether the driver of the Lamborghini is one of those stuck-up supercar owners and parked in front of the charger intentionally or if it was a mistake. Either way, the police did not wait for explanations and had the supercar removed from that space.
