The Ferrari F8 Tributo Spider is a true ballistic missile and for the vast majority of us that will never get the chance to drive it, this POV video provides us with the next best experience of what this beast is like to drive.

This near-30 minute clip was filmed on the streets of California and includes some cruising along the waterfront before the YouTuber heads for the hills to see what the Ferrari is like along a mountain road. The driver keeps everything in check even when presented with stretches of open road and never approaches the limits of what the F8 is capable of. However, it’s worth remembering that it is pretty much impossible to exploit more than a small fraction of this supercar’s performance without breaking every road rule imaginable.

Much like its coupe sibling, the F8 Tributo Spider is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 that delivers 711 hp and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque. This engine is coupled to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission sending power to the rear wheels, helping to launch the car to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds, 124 mph (200 km/h) in 7.6 seconds, and through to a top speed of 211 mph (340 km/h).

Following the F8 Tributo’s launch at the Geneva Motor Show in 2019, there were some complaints about its similarities to the 488 GTB, which itself was, for the most part, an updated version of the 458 Italia with a new, turbocharged engine. While these complaints are understandable, recent reviews prove that the F8 Tributo is one hell of a supercar in its own right.
