MINI Plays Spot The Differences With 2021 JCW Countryman Facelift

The 2021 MINI JCW Countryman has been uncovered as the range-topper of the crossover series, joining the regular facelifted models that debuted a few months ago.

Set to launch from November, it brings modest visual revisions that include a reworked grille with less lipstick as well as new LED headlights and taillights, with the latter boasting the obligatory Union Jack graphics.

The larger diameter tailpipes and high gloss black look for the grille, headlamp surrounds, rear lights, door handles and ‘Countryman’ logo on the tailgate are also new, alongside the Sage Green, White Silver and Piano Black exterior colors.

The cockpit sports new accents as well and brings a 5-inch digital instrument display positioned behind the steering wheel, which is a new extra. It joins the 8.8-inch color display touchscreen in the central instrument panel, which features an enhanced design with a piano black bezel and touch sensitive control panels. The 2021 JCW Countryman remains connected to the internet at all times, allowing drivers to access different services. A satellite navigation system, internet portal, Amazon Alexa and Apple CarPlay are available.

Updated last year, the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot carries over with no changes whatsoever. This means that it pumps out 302 HP (306 PS / 225 kW) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque, channeled to the ALL4 all-wheel drive system via an eight-speed automatic transmission. 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) takes 5.1 seconds and the top speed is capped at 155 mph (250 km/h). The model also features a stiffer chassis and can be ordered with the optional adaptive suspension.
