The forthcoming 2021 Ram 1500 Rebel TRX has been spied in the midst of testing and looks to have been joined by a prototype for the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat.

This clip from TFLnow shows a heavily-camouflaged Rebel TRX prototype leading the FCA convoy of test vehicles. Running directly behind it was a dark red Dodge Durango while cruising behind them was a Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. Our own spy photographers have snapped the Rebel TRX on a handful of occasions and it is shaping up to be quite the thing.

Powering the Ford F-150 Raptor rival will be the company’s 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 engine churning out no less than 707 hp, giving the truck a significant power advantage over the F-150 Raptor that ‘makes do’ with 450 hp and 510 lb-ft (691 Nm) from its 3.5-liter EcoBoost six-cylinder. The Rebel TRX will be further differentiated from lesser variants thanks to a host of comprehensive visual modifications and off-road parts, including distinctive wheels and tires.

As for the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat, it remains a little more mysterious as this is the first time we’ve seen what appears to be a prototype testing out and about in the wild. Dodge provided the world with its first hint of a Durango Hellcat back in February in a video showcasing Dodge’s involvement in Fast and Furious 9.

Since then, reports have surfaced that the Durango Hellcat will land for the 2021 model year when Dodge facelifts the Durango family. It will feature the same 6.2-liter supercharged V8 as the Rebel TRX and complete with 707 hp.
