The Ford Mustang Mach-E hasn’t even launched yet, but it might be getting its first tuning package.
Details are limited, but RTR released a teaser video which shows tire marks on pavement before flashing the blue logo of the Mustang Mach-E. The clip then suggests the vehicle will be unveiled on July 21st.
That isn’t much to go on, but RTR is closely associated with Ford as they’ve teamed on the Eagle Squadron Mustang GT and the Series 1 Mustang RTR Powered by Ford Performance. RTR has also developed Ford concepts for SEMA and they sell tuning packages for the Mustang, Ranger and F-150.

While there’s no word on what an RTR Mustang Mach-E would involve, it would presumably have a version of the company’s trademark grille lights. There could also be new wheels, a modified suspension and possibly even a power upgrade.
Of course, there’s also another possibility as this could be the mysterious, stripped out Mach-E that was caught on video earlier this month. It was filmed doing burnouts at the North Carolina Center for Automotive Research and speculation suggested it could be a faked attempt to go viral.
We can’t be certain of that, but the video was uploaded by a person with no other clips on YouTube and who just happened to be hanging out in a wooded area by the track. They also treated the car like it was Bigfoot sighting, so consider us skeptical.
If this is the mysterious Mach-E, and it seems like it is, this is probably some partnership between Ford and Vaughn Gittin Jr. to promote the electric crossover. Of course, we’ll find out for sure on Tuesday.
