Fresh off the 2021 Ford Bronco being presented to the world, Saleen has previewed a series of upgrades it is developing for the off-roader.

Inspiration for the modified Bronco comes from what could be the most iconic off-road racing truck in U.S. motorsport history. The vehicle, affectionately known as ‘Big Oly’, was driven by Parnelli Jones and competed in a series of grueling events, including the Mexican 1000 (now the Baja 1000), Baja 500, and the Mint 400, winning all of them. While it was designed to look like a Bronco, it was actually bespoke and built from the ground-up.

The 2021 Bronco presented by Saleen in these two images features a similar black, gold, and white livery to ‘Big Oly’ and also comes outfitted with a range of distinctive parts. These include a unique front bumper with an integrated LED light array, a forged carbon fiber skid plate, forged carbon front grille surround, Saleen hood, A-pillar-mounted driving lights, a light bar mounted on the roof, unique rocker panels, modular roof rack, composite rear fenders, an adjustable rear roof spoiler, and a custom rear tire carrier and rear bumper.

The range-topping Bronco First Edition offered from the factory is already a serious-looking off-roader but Saleen’s creation takes things to a whole new level. Unfortunately, we don’t yet know when Saleen’s various parts will hit the market nor how much they will cost.

Even though Ford itself will offer many accessories for the new Bronco, it seems evident the aftermarket scene will soon explode with accessories and upgrades of its own.
