If you see a car painted purple on the street, there’s a good chance it is a small (yet fun) hatchback or SUV. However, there are some extremely powerful and fast cars on the market available in various shades of purple and the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is one of them.
Dodge calls this color ‘Plum Crazy’ and while it may look playful, the driver of this Charger Hellcat is more than adept at launching the potent family sedan down the quarter-mile at truly frightening speeds.

This particular clip was filmed at Toronto Motorsports Park in Canada and shows the Hellcat in a series of drag races against cars including a Chevrolet C6 Corvette Z06 Convertible, Tesla Model 3 Performance, BMW M5, and a Ford Mustang. It leaves all of them for dead.
Powering the Charger Hellcat is a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that sends power exclusively through the rear wheels. Despite having 707 hp on tap, recording a good quarter-mile time in the Hellcat can be hard without experiencing bucket loads of wheel spin. Evidently, the driver of this purple example is well versed in getting the car off the line perfectly and with very little loss of traction. It likely helps that the car appears to be fitted with soft drag racing tires that help to stick it to the pavement.
