The Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R is a true JDM icon beloved by enthusiasts around the world. While it was never sold new in the United States, it has become available under the 25 year rule and this example currently residing in Florida is one of the finest you’ll see.
The car was recently featured on an episode of Hoonigan AutoFocus and has been tastefully modified in a way that adds to its appeal without detracting too much from its originality.
Arguably the first thing you’ll notice about this Skyline is its Bayside Blue color. This shade was not offered for the R32 GT-R and was instead made famous by the later R34 model. As it turns out, Bayside Blue suits the lines and shape of the R32 perfectly and it is also sitting on a set of white wheels, a combination that doesn’t look half bad.

A lot of work has also gone into upgrading the powertrain. Most notably, the RB26 2.6-liter six-cylinder is no longer twin-turbocharged and instead features a single large Precision turbo. This GT-R also sports a switch that allows the driver to alternate between all-wheel drive, for maximum traction, and rear-wheel drive – we presume for maximum fun…
Lots of other changes have been made. For example, there’s an awesome aftermarket front bumper and carbon fiber hood, a bespoke rear wing with a carbon fiber gurney flap, and a unique diffuser. The owner says he wanted a car that was part-show car, part-street car and that’s exactly what he has created.
