Have you ever wondered which VW Group super SUV is the best? Well, maybe you have, maybe you haven’t, but irrespective of that the truth is that it’s a rather difficult question to answer seeing as how it all depends on your wants and needs.
Of course, finding out which is fastest is a lot more straightforward, and thankfully Carwow thought the same as they managed to get their hands on a Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, Audi RS Q8 and a Bentley Bentayga.
Even though some of these models are closely related and have similar engines, none of them feature identical power outputs, which means that a straight line brawl should be quite fascinating to watch.

Let’s run through the specs for each individual SUV here, starting with the sportiest-looking one: the Lamborghini Urus. Power comes from a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 producing 641 HP (650 PS) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. On paper, it will hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.5 seconds.
The Audi RS Q8 also uses the VW Group’s 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 unit, but rated at 591 HP (600 PS) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. It can hit the 60 mph mark from a standstill in 3.7 seconds – so, on paper, it’s a bit slower than the Urus.
Moving on to the Porsche, we see that the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid is actually even more powerful than the Lamborghini. It features a 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 (sort of a common theme here), but with two electric motors and a 14.1 kWh battery. Thus, this powertrain puts out a total of 670 HP (680 PS) and 663 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque, for a 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds if you opt for the Sport Chrono pack.
Last, but not least, we’ve got a pre-facelift Bentley Bentayga, which is powered by a 6.0-liter twin turbo W12 engine with 600 HP (608 PS) and 663 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. It needs around 3.8 seconds in order to get from zero to 60 mph.
All four SUVs are actually pretty evenly matched, but which is the fastest of them all in a straight line?
