Volkswagen has launched the United special editions for the Polo, T-Cross and T-Roc in the UK that add more gear over the regular models, while keeping the price point below that of the trim levels on which they are based.
Priced at £17,350 ($22,084), the Polo United is based on the Match grade and features exclusive ‘UNITED’ badging and door sill protectors, ‘Dublin’ alloy wheels, the Winter Pack, the Light and Sight Pack, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, grey and blue fabric upholstery, stainless steel pedals, decorative inserts and front and rear carpet mats.
Power comes from a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine that puts out 79 HP (80 PS / 59 kW) and is paired to a five-speed manual gearbox. The 94 HP (95 PS / 70 kW) gasoline unit is also available for the subcompact hatchback, and it is also mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, but this variant can also be ordered with the seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission as an option.

The T-Cross United and T-Roc United can be had from £20,410 ($25,979) and £23,550 ($29,975) respectively and are based on the SE trim level. They too feature exclusive badging, door sill protectors, special alloy wheels and bespoke upholstery inside, joined by the decorative trim and stainless steel pedals. On top of these, they add heated windscreen washer jets and rear privacy glass, while the T-Cross United brings front and rear parking sensors and the T-Roc United gains puddle lights that display the ‘UNITED’ logo onto the ground when the door is open.
The 1.0-liter three-pot, with either 94 HP (95 PS / 70 kW) or 113 HP (115 PS / 85 kW) is offered with the T-Cross United, with the former getting a five-speed manual gearbox and the latter a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG. The T-Roc United is available with the 113 HP three-banger and a six-speed manual transmission, or the four-pot with 148 HP (150 PS / 110 kW) and a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG.
