If you’re not up to speed with who a ‘Karen’ is in internet lingo, this clip recently posted to Reddit will tell you all you need to know.
In the meme world, a Karen refers to a middle-aged white woman considered to be both entitled and ignorant. There’s a good chance you know of a Karen and if not, you’ve probably seen one in the past.
In this particular run-in with a Karen, a Redditor started to film a woman after she parked her Hyundai Elantra in a space reserved for Teslas at a Tesla store located at a shopping mall in Toronto. It looks as though the woman was confronted after parking in the Tesla-only charging spot and she was not too happy about it.

Initially, she can be heard speaking with two police officers at the scene, claiming that she was waiting for someone in the shopping mall. While it is hard to pick up everything she is saying, she seemed to state that she has Alzheimer’s and decided to park in the Tesla spot because it was free.
In a typical Karen move, the woman then takes out her smartphone and starts recording the person who was recording her. The video momentarily cuts out and when it resumes, the woman is heard talking to one of the officer’s again, stating “He comes and tries to tell me what I can do. He’s not my boss.” The officer then points out a sign stating she cannot park in the spot. She responds by saying she “can’t see” and says the sign should be bigger. Finally, she gets in her car, presumably to drive away, although we can’t say for sure because that’s where the video ends.
