McLaren introduced the 570GT back in 2016 at the Geneva Motor Show (remember car shows?) as the more practical addition to the Sports Series, where owners could focus just as much on sporty driving as they would on long distance road trips.
It was all thanks to the 570GT’s cargo hatch, in place of the 570S’ regular engine cover. You also got slightly softer suspension settings and better sound insulation.
This particular example is a 2017 model, getting auctioned off through Bring a Trailer with 10,000 miles (16,000 km) on its odo.
The exterior is finished in Storm Gray with Dark Palladium door inserts. The car also comes with soft-close dihedral doors, parking sensors and a factory nose-lift system, to go with the five-spoke “Stealth” wheels measuring 19″ and 20″ (front/rear) – also factory standard. This Macca’s first owner also ordered the optional carbon ceramic brakes with orange calipers.

There’s a bit of an orange theme here actually, with the interior boasting a design scheme of Carbon Black, Jet Black and McLaren Orange. You also get carbon fiber switchgear, orange seat belts, and a 12-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system. There’s more orange on the flat-bottom steering wheel too, adding even more contrast to an already dynamic-looking cockpit.
Underneath the 570GT’s cargo floor lies a 3.8-liter twin turbo V8, which produces 562 HP (570 PS) and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque. The 570GT needs just 3.4 seconds to get this car from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h), while top speed is rated at 204 mph (328 km/h).
