A Philadelphia modification shop by the name of AWE Tuning has launched two exhaust systems for the C8 Corvette Stingray.
Both exhausts, dubbed the Touring Edition and the Track Edition respectively, have a straight-through design and are handcrafted in the USA from three-inch stainless steel. They also have eight-inch flex sections designed to isolate engine movement and increase durability.
Like all good exhausts systems, these ones also reduce weight and add power. The Touring Edition, for example, sheds 31 lbs (14 kg) of unnecessary weight while adding a claimed 19 hp at the wheels and 15 lb-ft (20 Nm) of torque. The Track Edition saves 39 lbs (17.6 kg) and contributes to the same horsepower and torque gains.

Both systems also use quad 4.5-inch double-walled tips that can be finished in either chrome silver or diamond black. They also include aluminum heat shields and are said to have been rigorously tested in both racing and road environments.
As these videos show, the Track Edition exhaust is louder than the Touring Edition, but both add a menacing growl to the ‘Vette’s 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine. They will also attract a lot of attention, so if you own a C8 and like to fly under the radar, you might want to think twice before opting for either of them.
Prices for the Corvette’s Track Edition exhaust with chrome tips start at $1,999 and from $2,795 in Touring Edition form, while those with the black diamond tips start at $2,059 for the Track and $2,695 for the Touring Edition.
