Ford unveiled the 2021 F-150 in June, and now we’re getting a glimpse of the upcoming F-150 Raptor.

Caught wearing heavy camouflage, the redesigned truck features an evolutionary front fascia with a prominent grille that is flanked by new headlights. Further below, we can see a familiar skid plate, recovery hooks and an air intake with a honeycomb mesh insert.

Moving further back, there are pronounced fender flares and dark wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires. We can also see a dual exhaust system, new taillights and a modified tailgate.

Bigger changes occur underneath the skin as spy photographers snapped the truck’s new rear suspension. As you can see, the leaf springs have been replaced by new coil springs.

This change has allowed engineers to add a new structural brace which attaches to the rear axle. Ford was also able to reroute the exhaust, giving it a straighter exit and a higher mounting point for additional ground clearance.

Thanks to all these changes, the 2021 F-150 Raptor should have a more comfortable ride and improved off-road capability.

While photographers didn’t get a glimpse of the interior, it should largely carryover from the standard model. This means we can expect a 12-inch digital gauge cluster and a 12-inch SYNC 4 infotainment system. Fans can also look forward to higher quality materials, new switchgear and a handful of Raptor-specific touches.

Ford has been tight-lipped about the truck, but it will likely have a familiar twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6. As a result, we can expect an output of around 450 hp (336 kW / 456 PS) and 510 lb-ft (691 Nm) of torque.
