Lexus introduced the 2021 ES Black Line last week and now they’re following up with an RX variant.
Available in RX 350 and RX 450h guise, the special edition is based on the F Sport trim and features a dark grille surround as well as black body side graphics. Last but not least, they’re equipped with 20-inch wheels that have a black finish.
Moving into the cabin, the RX Black Line has black leather seats with white accents and blue contrast stitching. The model also comes equipped with blue-trimmed floor mats and key gloves that feature blue stitching.

The styling changes are relatively minor, but the special edition comes with a two-piece travel set from Zero Halliburton. It consists of a 26” medium travel case and a 22” continental carry-on with an embossed Lexus logo as well as a “sumptuous interior lining featuring a Lexus grille motif.”
Engine options carryover, so the RX 350 has a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 295 hp (220 kW / 299 PS) and 267 lb-ft (362 Nm) of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which can be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system. It enables the crossover to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in as little as 7.7 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h).
Likewise, the RX 450h has a hybrid powertrain that consists of a 3.5-liter V6 engine, a nickel metal hydride battery and three electric motors. This gives the model a combined output of 308 hp (230 kW / 312 PS) and a 0-60 mph (96 km/h) time of 7.9 seconds. Of course, the biggest benefit is fuel efficiency as the hybrid returns 30 mpg city, 28 mpg highway and 30 mpg combined.
Production will be limited to 1,000 units, and there will be 750 with petrol engines and 250 with hybrid powertrains. Pricing starts at $50,635 for the RX 350 Black Line and $51,885 for the RX 450h Black Line.
