It has been more than eighteen months since the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 was unveiled and some dealerships in the U.S. are still looking to sell the muscle car with eye-watering premiums.
In March, we brought you a video showcasing a GT500 for sale in Riverside, California with an asking price of $185,890. Of that figure, $80,000 was considered as a dealer markup. Well, this GT500 is even more expensive.
YouTuber Speed Phenom recently took a trip to an unnamed Ford dealership in California, that has a GT500 listed up for sale for a staggering $205,890, with $100,000 of that being a dealer markup. The car is equipped with the Track Pack and has a sticker price of $105,890.

Sure, the GT500 is special, but is it $205k special? Before answering that question, let’s see what else you can buy for that money.
In the U.S, a 2020 Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD starts at $212,266, and while it doesn’t have the grunt of the GT500, it is a true blue-blood exotic and not an – admittedly very well executed – version of a muscle car. In addition, a McLaren 570S Coupe can be purchased for $195,000 and the Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro Coupe starts at $200,645. Heck, if you’re looking to buy an exotic on the used car market, 2019 and 2020 600LT Coupe and Spider models can be purchased for a touch over $200,000.
