A handful of Abarth 695 70° Anniversario Special Edition models will be sold in Australia.
First presented last year, the Abarth 695 70° Anniversario is based on the current Abarth 595 Competizione. Worldwide production of the car is capped at just 1,949 units and it has now been confirmed that 40 of these examples will head Down Under.
Powering the 695 70° Anniversario is a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder pumping out 177 hp and 184 lb-ft (250 Nm) of torque at 3,000 rpm. This engine can be mated to either a manual transmission or a ‘Dualogic’ automatic gearbox. The sprint from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) is dealt with in 6.7 seconds, while top speed sits at 140 mph (225 km/h).

Beyond featuring the most powerful engine in the Abarth family, the car comes with a rear spoiler that can be adjusted to 12 positions with an inclination from 0 to 60 degrees. It also features Brembo calipers clamping down on 305 mm (12-inch) front brake discs and 240 mm (9.4-inch) rear discs, black-finished 17-inch SuperSport alloy wheels and a limited-slip differential.
The limited edition sports exclusive Sabelt Tricolore seats and will be available in five exterior colors: Exclusive Monza 1958 green, Pista Grey, Gara White, Scorpione Black and Podium Blue.
Australian pricing for the Abarth 695 70° Anniversario Special Edition has been set at AU$44,950 (US$32,561) for both the manual and automatic variants.
