Subsequent to the announcement of the Limited Series of the Cobra with ICE and electric options, AC Cars has now confirmed that the iconic Superblower will be recreated for the 2021 model year.
Sold exclusively through Boss Motor Company, which is the brand’s official dealer located north of London, the model will cost £129,500 on the road, which equals to $170,265 at the current exchange rates, and production of the first unit started at the end of July.
A recreation of the famous AC Cobra 378 Superblower Mk IV, which was available in limited numbers in 1998, it uses a ladder frame chassis, front and rear multi-link suspension with coilover shock absorbers, anti-roll bars on both axles, ventilated disc brakes and limited-slip differential.

Power comes from a supercharged 6.2-liter V8. It pumps out 580 horsepower that are channeled to the wheels via a six-speed transmission. The full performance details have yet to be announced, though the new AC Cobra Superblower packs roughly 150 HP more than the original 427 of 1965.
Completing the timeless looks of the car are the 8×16-inch front and 10×16-inch rear wheels, as well as the hand-crafted interior that’s finished in black leather. The instrument panel, glovebox and other parts are wrapped in the same material, and there are also deep pile carpets on deck.
Speaking about the recreation, Alan Lubinsky, the owner of AC Cars, said: “The development of the AC Cobra 378 Superblower Mk IV is an important continuation of this sought after range for us, after we developed the original version in 1998.”
