If a standard BMW M8 Competition with its 625 HP (616 HP) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque doesn’t tickle your fancy, maybe you should give AC Schnitzer a call.
The German tuner offers a complete performance and styling upgrade for the BMW M8 in Coupe, Cabriolet and Gran Coupe body style. For the range-topping M8 Competition variant, AC Schnitzer starts with an engine upgrade that takes the twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 to 720 PS (710 HP) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque.
Owners of “base” BMW M8 models can also dial up the engine from a stock 600 PS (592 HP) an 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) to 700 PS () and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft). These engine upgrades go together perfectly with the AC Schnitzer sports exhaust with two exhaust flaps, available with Carbon Sport, Sport, or Sport Black tailpipes.

Also on AC Schnitzer’s list of upgrades is a suspension spring kit that lowers the suspension by 20 mm (0.8 inches) at the front and 15 mm (0.6 in) at the rear compared with the standard setup. This has a positive effect both on handling and looks, with the latter also enhanced by various aerodynamic elements too.
Those include a front splitter, carbon side skirts, rear spoiler (2-piece for M8 Gran Coupe) and the carbon rear spoiler for M8 Coupe as well as the “Racing” rear wing for M8 Coupe. Rounding out the exterior modifications are the custom 21-inch wheels shod with 275/30 R21 and 285/30 R21 front/rear tires. Three designs are available: AC3 ‘Evo’ lightweight forged wheels, AC3 flow-forming wheels BiColor, and Type VIII lightweight forged rims. 20-inch options are also on offer.
As for the interior, AC Schnitzer keeps it simple with the traditional aluminum shift paddles, pedal set, footrest and key holder.
