Renaultsport has created a stunning machine in the form of the Megane RS Trophy-R, which may be a front-wheel drive hot hatch, but can nevertheless beat some pretty agile sports cars such the mid-engined, rear-wheel drive Alpine A110S.
The range-topping version of the series, which has the Porsche 718 Cayman T in its sights, was set loose at the Hockenheim-GP by SportAuto. The Germans recorded a time of 2:00, eight tenths of a second behind the Megane RS Trophy-R that shares its engine with the Alpine.
