Surely an old Audi RS7 cannot beat a Lamborghini Aventador, can it? We’d be inclined to say no, but this example is far from stock, so we wouldn’t rush into conclusions.
The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 has been tuned, lifting output from 552 to 700 HP and torque from 516 to 738 lb-ft (700-1,000 Nm). The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive, which should help it put its power to the tarmac without too much drama.

As for the Aventador, it is an SV and is an entirely different beast compared to the super executive sedan. It packs a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 pumping out 739 HP and 507 lb-ft (690 Nm), a seven-speed gearbox and four-wheel drive, and can hit the 62 mph (100 km/h) mark in 2.8 seconds and 124 mph (200 km/h) in 8.6 seconds, with a 217+ mph (350 km/h) top speed.
Now, we also have to factor in the weight, with the balance tilting in favor of the Aventador, which is nearly 400 pounds (180 kg) lighter than the RS7. So, considering that the Lambo has the output and weight on its side, could the previous generation RS7, even a tuned one, beat it in a drag race, from a standing and rolling start, or in a brake test?
