The Aston Martin DBX has already impressed journalists in the first hands-on reviews, but while some have decided to speak about the practicality, gadgets and interior space, others have upped the ante by setting it loose against other super-fast SUVs, such as the Lamborghini Urus.
The Italian SUV needs just 3.6 seconds for the nought to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint and, flat out, it will do 190 mph (306 km/h). Power is provided by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that puts out a dizzying 641 HP (650 PS / 478 kW) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque.

The DBX, which represents Aston’s first venture into the SUV segment, also packs a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8. The engine is supplied by Mercedes-AMG, and you can find it in a variety of high-end cars. In the DBX, its output stands at 542 HP (550 PS / 405 kW), with a peak torque of 516 lb-ft (700 Nm). The 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration takes 4.5 seconds, whereas its maximum speed is 181 mph (291 km/h).
At this point, you are probably thinking that it’s impossible for the Urus to lose in a quarter-mile drag race, but then again, in the real world you never know how things might turn out. For a better comparison of the two, the motoring journalists, who hosted the straight-line acceleration, subjected the vehicles to a 0-100-0 mph (0-160-0 km/h) test too, so better head on down and see which one came out on top.
