If you own a Toyota Supra and want to not only annoy your neighbors but also wake up your entire town, Frequency Intelligent Exhaust has the system for you.
Featured in the video below, the exhaust specialist released its Supra exhaust system last year but we only recently came across it. As standard, we happen to think Supra produces a great exhaust note, particularly when driven in Sport mode, allowing the exhaust to start popping and crackling on downshifts.
Evidently, the guys at Frequency Intelligent think the car’s 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder doesn’t produce quite enough sound and have fitted a system that includes catless ultra-high flow downpipes, a valve-controlled muffler, and carbon fiber tips.

With the valves closed and the car being revved, the new Fi exhaust produces 119 dB, significantly louder than the 97.8 dB of the standard exhaust at idle. With the valves opened and the car revved, it produces just in excess of 131 dB. To put that into perspective, it’s roughly the same amount of sound produced by a jackhammer.
Driven on the street, the exhaust produces a truly epic cacophony of noise and crackles and pops on the overrun. As awesome as the exhaust sounds in this video, we imagine it sounds even better in person.
While we do like the standard exhaust note of the Supra, its turbocharged engine is a tad muted so if a tuner can heighten the induction sound, that would work wonders when alongside an Fi exhaust like this.
