Made famous by starring in James Bond movies, starting with the 1964 ‘Goldfinger’ and carrying on to this day and the upcoming ‘No Time To Die’, the Aston Martin DB5 is easily one of the most identifiable cars of all times.
Only 123 are estimated to be still around worldwide, and one of them was stolen on July 18 this year, while it was parked on Hawthorn Lane, in the Wilmslow area of Cheshire, near Manchester, England.
Made in 1965 and valued at over £1 million ($1.3 million), it looks similar to the ones used in the 007 movies, and anyone with valid information that could lead to its recovery, be it photographs, CCTV or dashcam footage, or even simple sightings, could receive a £1,000 ($1,312) reward.

“This is a highly unusual theft in broad daylight and one we felt is of national significance. Old and young people alike have an affiliation with this classic motor, which will forever be synonymous with James Bond”, commented Neil Thomas, the Director of Investigative Services at AX, an anti-fraud and theft specialist.
“This vehicle certainly stands out and we are keen to preserve a little piece of British history and hope for its safe return. The DB5’s official chassis number, DB5/2058/R, is specific to the vehicle and we want to hear from anyone who has knowledge of its location. That is why we launched this appeal to help find this iconic car. You may even know the person who took the vehicle – we ask that you do the right thing and get in touch.”
