Ken Block owns a pretty amazing collection of Fords and one of the most impressive vehicles in his garage is a comprehensively-modified Ford F-150 Raptor created by off-road tuner SVC.
The Gymkhana legend and rally driver has owned the off-roader for quite some time and recently had SVC make a host of upgrades to it. This included the fitment of a custom Borla exhaust system, a widebody kit, Fox triple-bypass shocks, adjustable hydraulic bump stops, new rear leaf springs, bespoke front and rear bumpers, and a custom bed cage. It also has a cool grey, black and white livery.

Like any good off-roader, the modified F-150 also has lots of lights. When we say “lots of lights,” we mean hundreds upon hundreds of LEDs that combine to produce 300,000 lumens. Among the lights fitted are three 50-inch LED light bars with one located on the hood and two mounted to the roof. There are also two GPS-controlled LED light bars that dramatically help to improve vision when you’re racing at night.
To test just how important off-road lights are, Block laps a short off-road circuit with the stock headlights, with a pair of the LED light bars on, and then with all of the lights turned on.
With the stock lights, he sets a time of 1:30.71. With the GPS-controlled light bars on, the added light helps him dramatically, allowing him to see upcoming corners well ahead of time. He clocks a time of 1:20.58. In the final test with all the lights switched on, he sets a time of 1:16.97.
