One-Owner 2001 Acura Integra GS-R Is More Valuable Than You’d Think

It is no secret that classic ‘Type R’ models from Honda are starting to fetch a pretty penny but, as it turns out, less performance-focused Hondas are also rising in value.

What you’re looking at is a one-owner 2001 Acura Integra GS-R with just 18,000 miles (~28,900 km) on the clock which had attracted a highest bid of $17,500 at the time of writing. This comes despite the fact the car features a host of modifications that would usually have an adverse impact on its value.

The car is painted Satin Silver Metallic and sits on a set of 17-inch Volk Racing wheels with 205/40 Nitto Neo Gen tires at all four corners. The suspension has also been modified with lowering springs and the car has a front strut tower brace and a larger front sway bar. Prior to the car being listed on Bring A Trailer, the brake fluid was flushed and new shocks and struts were fitted.

Power is provided by a naturally-aspirated B18C1 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that is stock and therefore delivers 170 hp at 7,600 rpm and 128 lb-ft (173 Nm) of torque at 6,200 rpm. The engine is coupled to a five-speed manual transmission powering the front wheels. Like some of the finest VTEC engines, this one revs through to 8,000 rpm.
