A unique Ford Mustang ‘Tjin Edition’ that was unveiled at the SEMA Show in 2018 is looking for a new home.

The listing reveals that the car was one of five Mustangs showcased in Ford’s booth at SEMA and caught the attention of many attendees thanks to its BASF Majestic Purple paint job. It is certainly quite a head-turner, although the $45,999 asking price does seem quite high, especially when you can buy a new EcoBoost-powered Mustang for just over $26,000.

Complementing the bright purple paint of this Mustang is a complete RTR bodykit that includes a new front bumper, side skirts, spoiler, grille, new daytime running lights, and flared fenders. The pony car that’s for sale on eBay is also sitting on 20-inch Forgeline wheels with a bronze finish and wrapped in Michelin tires.

A host of mechanical changes have also been made to this Mustang, the most notable of which is an Air Lift adjustable air suspension. There are also 6-piston front brake calipers with 15-inch rotors and beefed-up rear brakes.

While the car does feature the base 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine rather than Ford’s 5.0-liter V8, it does benefit from a Borg Warner turbocharger, Ford Performance exhaust, engine tune, aftermarket intercooler, and a new manifold. A host of modifications have also been made to the interior, including leather Recaro seats and a Kicker audio system with amplifiers and subs in the trunk.

With just 3,500 miles (5,632 km) on the clock, the car is just getting warmed up. However, we’re not so sure the controversial looks will be to everyone’s taste and probably wouldn’t cough up almost $46,000 of our own money for it.
