We’ve seen a fair share of tuned Opel Kadetts lining up at the start line next to some very powerful vehicles these past few years, so we’re not that surprised by this one.
According to the uploader, the old German compact hatch was tuned to deliver 730 hp, which is high-end supercar territory.
Now, we have our doubts that it would pose a threat to the 710 HP McLaren 720S. On the other hand, we don’t know whether an Audi R8 would keep up with it, as its 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 develops 602 HP in the stock R8 V10 Plus, for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) of just 3.2 seconds and a 205 mph (330 km/h) top speed.

Drag racing the R8 was just the icing on the cake for the Kadett in the event that took place last weekend in Germany, as just before that, it can be seen trying its luck against a BMW M3. The sports sedan has 425 thanks to its 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight-six and does the 0-62 mph in just a little over 4 seconds.
Another high-end machine, the previous-gen Audi RS6 Avant, lined up against the old Kadett during the same event. We won’t spoil the result though, so to find out whether the 605 HP (in Performance guise), all-wheel drive super estate succeeded or not, you’ll have to watch the following video.
