Sure, the R35 Nissan GT-R is getting a little old, but it remains as popular as ever among the tuning community. Take the GT-R in this video, for example.
This GT-R has been built by T1 Race Development and the engine has been comprehensively overhauled. Most notably, it is running a set of 76 mm turbochargers and is pushing out over 50 PSI of boost. The result is 2,200 hp at all four wheels, meaning the engine is likely delivering well over 2,500 hp before taking into account drivetrain losses.

To try to make the most of the power, the car is rocking a set of massive drag radial tires at all four corners, but even so, it still suffers from some wheel spin if the conditions aren’t perfect. Nevertheless, that doesn’t hinder it from sprinting from 60 mph (96 km/h) to 130 mph (209 km/h) in just 2.55 seconds. Making that time all the more impressive is the fact that the car wasn’t running in its most aggressive engine tune at the time and can probably go even faster!
YouTube’s That Racing Channel recently had an opportunity to check out the car in person and went for a ride in it, while also checking out a different GT-R rated at 1,700 whp. One might argue that cars with this much power and performance are overkill for street use, and they would be right; however, their owners do take them drag racing, where they can put them through their paces without hitting utterly insane speeds on public roads.
