While this may look like a baby Nissan GT-R, it is actually a Daihatsu Copen that has been overhauled by Japanese tuning company Liberty Walk.
Liberty Walk has been producing bodykits for the Copen for a few years now and first previewed its GT-R-inspired bodykit back in 2017. We think it works wonders on the compact two-seater convertible and gives it some serious street cred.
The front of the kit includes a GT-R-inspired grille as well as air intakes and horizontal LED daytime running lights also resembling those of the GT-R. Being an expert on widebody kits, Liberty Walk has fitted the car with flared front and rear wheel arches sitting over a set of aftermarket wheels with black spokes and some aggressive camber. The kit also includes bespoke side skirts.
Liberty Walk continues its modifications at the rear with the fitment of a towering rear wing, GT-R badging, and a rear diffuser/bumper package just like that of the GT-R. There are even four tailpipes like on the actual Godzilla.
While the modified Copen may look the part, it is still a kei car, meaning it is powered by a tiny 658 cc three-cylinder engine. Evidently, you won’t be drag racing real GT-Rs between the traffic lights in this thing – but you’ll certainly attract lots of attention…
