A 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 extensively modified to compete in the TA1 class at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is currently up for grabs.
The seller purchased the vehicle from a Washington State salvage auction in May 2017, shortly after the car was totaled in a crash with just 9 miles (15 km) on the odometer. A comprehensive build then began to make this Corvette unlike any other.

A plethora of bespoke carbon fiber parts were designed and fitted, while the Z06 also has a custom roll cage built by 3R racing. Elsewhere, it features 18-inch Finspeed wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires and four-way adjustable JRZ dampers and AMT spherical bearing control arms.
The interior has been partially stripped out and includes an OMP Motorsport THE-R carbon fiber racing seat, OMP multi-point harnesses, and a Cartek fire suppression system. There is also a 10-gallon ATL fuel cell fitted under the rear hatch as well as an OMP quick-release steering wheel.
As with most cars that compete at Pikes Peak, lots of work was aerodynamic work was done to help stick the racer to the tarmac. Chief among these were the fitment of a massive front splitter and a towering rear wing.
Under the skin, the standard supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 engine has a Stage 3 E85 kit and a custom Y-pipe straight-pipe exhaust system. There is also a DeWitts radiator, heat exchanger, and oil cooler. The car is good for 744 hp and has the ‘Vette’s eight-speed automatic transmission. It is up for sale on Bring a Trailer and, at the time of writing and with three days left in the auction, has attracted a highest bid of $35,500.
