Not long after we saw a Tesla Cybertruck that looked just as good as the real thing, yet another “Tesla” vehicle has come to life early thanks to an electric vehicle enthusiast.
Rich from YouTube channel Rich Rebuilds has a wealth of experience modifying and customizing Teslas and recently had the idea of taking the all-electric Cyberquad previewed by the automaker last year and making it a reality. Knowing Tesla, the real Cyberquad probably won’t launch for quite some time, so until it does, this is the next best thing.
The Tesla Cyberquad unveiled by the carmaker last year was based on a Yamaha Raptor 700R. With that knowledge, Rich jumped onto Facebook Marketplace and purchased a used Raptor, obtaining the perfect base for his project.

The next step was finding a suitable electric motor and battery pack. Rich ultimately managed to find a suitable electric motorbike for $3,000 and purchased it. From there, the electric motor swap could begin.
Slotting the large battery pack and the electric motor into the quad proved to be rather difficult, with Rich ultimately deciding to place the battery where the engine used to be and the electric motor on the rear swingarm. It’s an unconventional setup but, apparently, it works. The quad was then outfitted with sharp, aluminum panels that look the same as the ones on the real Tesla Cyberquad.
All said and done, the finished item is pretty capable, as it can sprint to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 102 mph (164 km/h). Granted, it’s not the real thing, but it’s not half bad either.
