Forget the 2021 BMW M3 – if there was a BMW M car that we would love to buy today, it would be this Laguna Seca Blue 2001 M3.

The E46-generation M3 is beloved by enthusiasts and, to our eyes, looks even better today than it did two decades ago. This particular example complements the Laguna Seca Blue paint with high-gloss Shadowline trim, front fog lights, xenon headlights, LCI-style taillights, and standard 19-inch forged wheels with 225/40 front and 255/35 rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

As for the cabin of this particular E46 M3 that was listed on Bring a Trailer, it sports black Nappa leather with piano black trim on the dashboard, door panels, and center console. Key interior features include a sunroof, multi-function steering wheel, heated and power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, and a Harman-Kardon stereo. The odometer shows the car has traveled 138,700 km (~86,000 miles) and is located in Ontario, Canada.

No modifications have been made to the engine. That means the car is still powered by a 3.2-liter naturally aspirated S54 inline-six with individual throttle bodies and VANOS variable valve timing. It is good for 333 hp and 262 lb-ft (355 Nm) of torque and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission powering the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential.

The M3 was sold with a Carfax report that indicates no accidents or other damage.
