Following the reveal of its convertible sibling, Bentley is now pulling the covers off the new Continental GT Mulliner Coupe, which will celebrate its public debut at the Salon Privé in the UK on September 22.

The new Bentley Continental GT Mulliner Coupe represents “the new luxury pinnacle” of the range and as such it offers even more options to the client that wants to create a unique Bentley to their individual specification.

On the outside, the new Continental GT Mulliner gets a number of exclusive styling features, including the new silver-black ‘Double Diamond’ front grille with matching front fender vents, Satin Silver mirror caps with Mulliner Welcome Lamps mounted beneath them, as well as illuminated Mulliner door sills. The exterior revisions also include a set of 22-inch Mulliner wheels with self-leveling center badges.

The interior of the new Continental GT Mulliner will offer customers a unique color split exclusively; a total of eight three-color combinations will be proposed by Mulliner, featuring Bentley’s palette of numerous hides and threads to create “a striking, yet elegant contrast throughout the cabin”.

As standard, all Conti GT Mulliner models will come with the Mulliner Driving Specification, which adds ‘Diamond in Diamond’ quilting pretty much on every surface, from the seats to the door cards and rear quarter panels.

Bentley reckons that each car features almost 400,000 stitches inside the cabin, as each diamond quilting requires 712 individual stitches. The embroidery process alone took 18 months to be developed, with each stitch precisely aligned to the point of the center of the diamond it creates.

The center console is trimmed with a new diamond milled technical finish, accompanied by Grand Black walnut veneer with chrome overlays. A unique Breitling clock is also mounted on the center of the console. The brushed-metal finish of the Breitling clock is carried through the digital instrument cluster, which features a unique design to the main gauges.

More personalization options are of course available, with Bentley offering 88 colorized veneer finishes that can then be matched to the interior or exterior of the vehicle.

The new Bentley Continental GT Mulliner can be fitted by either the 626 HP 6.0-liter W12 or the 542 HP 4.0-liter V8, with the carmaker accepting the first orders from October. The first deliveries of the new Bentley Continental GT Mulliner will take place early next year.
