Lexus has unveiled the new RX Sport Edition model for the European market, with shy visual updates over the rest of the lineup and a one-year availability.
Set to launch at the end of the month, it has a black spindle grille contrasting the chrome surround, dark side mirror casings inspired by the F Sport model, and five-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels, finished in dark bronze.
In the Eastern European markets where the brand operates, including Russia, the new RX Sport Edition boasts further upgrades, such as the aero kit that strengthens its presence. It’s comprised of a new front lip, lower rear bumper section and side sills, finished in the same shade as the rest of the vehicle – and joined by the ‘Black Vision’ badge on the tailgate.

Toyota’s luxury car brand will also expand the availability of its Tahara upholstery, which is described as “a durable product that contains no animal-sourced materials” that offers “the look and suppleness of leather”.
Aside from the extra items brought on by the Sport Edition, the 2021 RX continues to be offered with a wide range of technology gear, such as a multimedia system with Siri, Google Assistant and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration. Higher grades add the 12.3-inch touchscreen unit with voice control, head-up display and other features.
The Lexus Safety System+ equips the car with safety systems that aid drivers, including a Pre-Collision System that can detect pedestrians at night and cyclists during the day. The RX also has a BladeScan Adaptive High-Beam System that improves illumination.
