Fiat Chrysler Automobiles recently confirmed an updated version of the Maserati Levante would go into production during the third quarter, and one of our readers, Landoni Corrado, has snapped the crossover undergoing testing in Italy.
Looking instantly recognizable, the facelifted Levante follows in the footsteps of the 2021 Levante Trofeo which was introduced earlier this year. As a result, it has updated lighting units as well as a revised grille that appears to feature prominent bars.
While the updated Ghibli adopts a larger 10.1-inch infotainment system, the Levante will retain its 8.4-inch display. However, like the Levante Trofeo, it should have improved graphics and a higher resolution.
There could also be a handful of other minor changes including a revised instrument cluster. We can also expect updated driver assistance systems with “new functions.”

Maserati has been tight-lipped about the facelifted Levante, but engine options will likely carryover as the company is planning to introduce a redesigned model in 2023. The next-generation crossover is slated to adopt a version of the twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 that will power the upcoming M20. Previous reports have suggested it will have outputs of 523 hp (390 kW / 530 PS) and 572 hp (427 kW / 580 PS).
That being said, it’s possible the facelifted Levante could be offered with the hybrid powertrain that recently debuted in the Ghibli Hybrid. It features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, a 48-volt mild hybrid system and an output of 325 hp (243 kW / 330 PS). That’s not far off from the current Levante which has a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 that pumps out 345 hp (257 kW / 350 PS).
Of course, that’s just speculation at this point and we should learn more about the facelifted Levante shortly.
Thanks for Landoni for sharing the pictures and video!
